ABOUT THE NOTARY’S JOB

   
 

The notarial procedure provides the assertion of the rights of the clients objectively, impartially and with the fullest discretion. The objective of the notary’s work is to achieve results in every cases in their competence – drawing up public documents, attestations, certified copies, depositing documents, money or any valuables, in conducting inheritance and other non-litigious proceedings and in counseling – without judicial controversy.

The notary draws up public documents on the privities; deposits documents, takes over money, valuables and value-bills from the clients with the goal to hand them over to the entitled; with consultative assistance, helps the clients in exercising their rights and fulfilling their duties in proceedings in cases within his or her competence, while guarantees them equal chances.

The notary conducts the inheritance procedure and other non-litigious proceedings and performs official jurisdictional activities in his or her competence prescribed by measures as a part of the jurisdictional activity of the state.

The law vests the notaries with public authenticity to provide the parties impartial legal services in order to prevent judicial combats.

Our office gives its attention to our clients with the full spectrum of notarial services, also with public documents in German and English, authentic certificates of registration from public registers. The notary office is qualified by ISO 9002 quality assurance certificate.

 

 

  The notarial service
 

Notaries are appointed by the Minister of Justice. The preconditions to be appointed to a notary are grade in political and jurisprudence sciences, specialized examination in jurisprudence and adequate skills.

   
  Full independence
 

In their professional activities the notaries are independent, they cannot be ordered anyhow and are subordinated only to the law. The notary is obliged to proceed within the frames of the measures of legal force, accurately and conscientiously.

 

In cases of more than one interested parties, the notary is not a representative of any of them, but an impartial adviser of every parties. He or she should not provide help in unlawful or unfair cases even if he or she is asked to.

   
  Confidentiality
 

The notary and his or her colleagues are obliged to keep any data and facts come to his or her knowledge in the proceedings in secret. This obligation remains even after the termination of his or her activity of notary. Secrets will be disclosed – also to the authorities – only with your agreement.

   
  Full jurisprudential services
 

In most cases, with the legal statements or agreements in form of a public document there are other tasks to do. For example, a permission or a statement from the public guardianship authority, or registration to land or trade registry could be required.

 

The full notarial services means that by your authorization the notary may represent you in official proceedings and this allows you to avoid time consuming procedures.

   
  Refusal of contribution
 

The notary is obliged to refuse his or her contribution if that would not comply with his or her duties, for example in cases of illicit contracts, transactions circumventing measures, unlawful or unfair agreements.

   
  Supervision of the activities of the notaries
 

The activities of the notaries are under the supervision of the judicial authorities and the notaries chamber. Our office is under the supervision of Notaries Chamber of Budapest.

The notary office is located in the building opposite to the clinic in Kapás street. A separate doorbell to the office is installed at the main entrance of the building. You can come to us by streetcars No. 4 or 6 to the stop in Mechwart square; by underground to the stop in Moszkva square or Batthyány square; bus No. 11 stops at the backside entrance of the building.
